confidence

Hello all,
One businessman was in debt and couldn't figure out a way out of it. Creditors were pressing him. Suppliers were demanding for a payment. He was sitting on a bench in the park with his head down, thinking what could save the company from bankruptcy. Suddenly, an old man appeared in front of him.
– I see that something is bothering you, – he said.
After listening to the businessman, the old man said:
– I think I can help you.
He asked the businessman, what his name was, wrote him a check and said:
– Take this money. We will meet here exactly in one year, and you will be able to return it to me at that time.
After that, he turned around and disappeared just as suddenly as he appeared.
The businessman saw a check in his hands for an amount of 500 thousand dollars, signed by John Rockefeller, one of the richest people in the world at that time!
‘I could end all of my problems in no time!’ – He thought. But instead, the businessman decided to put the check into his safe. Only one thought about its existence gave him strength to find a solution to save his business.
With the return of his optimism, he concluded profitable deals. During a couple of months he got out of debt and started to earn money again.
Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the same check. At the agreed time the old man appeared again. And at the moment, when the businessman wanted to return the check and to share his story of success, a nurse ran up and grabbed the old man.
– I'm so glad, I caught him! – She exclaimed. – I hope he wasn't bothering you. He always runs away from the house and tells he is John Rockefeller. The businessman was bemused. During the whole year he was spinning and building a business, buying and selling, convinced that he had half a million dollars.
What was the difference between the business man a year ago and the same business man a year after, sitting on the same bench?
It wasn't the money, real or imaginary, that turned his life up. It was his new confidence and belief that gave him strength to achieve everything that he had now. Being confident will make a lot of difference.

Will be continued…..
Have a great day.

SETTING A GOAL

Hello all,
Take a certain goal of yours and double it. Or triple it. Or multiply it by 10. And then ask yourself, quite seriously, what you would have to do to achieve that new goal.
I used this game recently with a friend who holds a position in sales. He came to see me because he was selling $100,000 worth of product each month, the most on his team, and wanted to somehow get to %140,000.
I asked him to tell me what is would take for him to sell $200,000 worth of equipment each month. "2000,000!" he shouted. "That's impossible. I'm leading the team already with $100,000, and nobody thought that could be done."
"What would have to do?" I persisted.
"No," he said. "You don't understand. I want to hit $140,000 a month, and even that is so hard that I don't know how I'll do it."
I finally told him the theory behind this game.
If you seriously look at an outrageous goal, such as $200,000." it will open things up for you creatively that wouldn't have opened up if you stayed looking at $140,000. He nodded slowly and reluctantly agrees to play along for a while.
"Okay," he said. "But remember, we're talking about something that's impossible."
"Fine." I said. "But if your life depended on hitting $200,000 next month, what exactly would you do?"
He laughed and then started listing things as I wrote them down on a flip pad. After he got through the ridiculous ideas, like stealing other people's accounts and cooking the books, he began to think of more ideas. At first it was hard.
"I'd have to be two places at once," he said. "I'd have to make twice as many presentations as I'm making. I'd have to present to two clients at once!"
Then it hit him. All of a sudden he got the idea that he might be able to stage a large presentation of his product with a number of clients in the room at one time. "I could rent a room at a hotel and have 20 people in for coffee and donuts, and I could make a big deal out of it," he said.
A number of other ideas came to him- ways to combine his cold-calling with his travel time, ways to utilize e-mail as a sales tool, how to use the administrative staff better. Idea after idea came to him while I wrote furiously on the pad.
All of the ideas were a result of his thinking big- "How would I sell $200,000 if I absolutely had to?" He surpassed his goal of $140,000 the very next month!
Tomorrow is there to excel and achieve. Targets are set only to achieve; all we need is to OWN them, think out of box, execute flawlessly. Friends!!!! 2016 is inviting us with lot of hope, targets to achieve, success to feel proud of and with many more exciting things to happen.
Wish you all a very happy, successful and prosperous NEW YEAR.
